London’s very own Veronica Falls have unveiled a brand new single, along with the announcement that they will release their second full length album ‘Waiting For Something To Happen’ via Bella Union on February 4th 2013.
The first single to come from the album is called ‘Teenage’, and it’s an absolute delight. Roxanne and James’ vocal harmonies are once again perfectly on point throughout and are just as warm and welcoming as they were on their debut record. For me, the song immediately conjured up images of road trips and driving at night, and that was before the lyric “driving late at night / I’ll let you listen to the music you like” even arrived. Kind of freaked me out when it did arrive actually. So if nothing else they’ve certainly nailed the imagery. But luckily, in my opinion they’ve hit the nail on the head with all the other aspects of this song.
If the rest of ‘Waiting For Something To Happen’ is half as good as this first single, then I have no doubts that Veronica Falls are going to have a very good year in 2013. Listen to ‘Teenage’ below.
